What would we do in therapy?
It depends. With me, therapy lies on a depth-of-consciousness continuum from counseling on the light end, to psychotherapy and couples work, then to hypnotherapy and mind-body work, and finally at the deep end of the continuum, Energy Medicine. Therapy can include one or several therapies depending on you and your preferences.
Our work together may have a teaching component for specific skills that fit in with your goals. Skills like self-hypnosis, guided imagery and stress reduction that you can then use at home. When useful, I teach Energy Medicine exercises to balance energies and help with certain functioning issues.
Therapy can be a very effective lab for trying out new skills, behaviors and perspectives. What I do depends on your readiness and belief in what will help.
How do you know if this therapy is right for you?
Look at the list of typical goals, desires and issues on Home page. Do you have an issue or circumstance that you want to change or improve? Is there an area in your life that you feel stuck in? Or that you cannot make headway with?
In the end, the answer is inside you.
It helps to want to know yourself, to be open to seeing and honoring whatever your inner truth is. Then you are aligning your efforts with what is true and possible.
